Ms. Devers Class is "Apple" Solutely Amazing!
My name is Ms. Devers and I am very excited to be your kindergarten teacher this school year! I am originally from Ohio where I completed my undergraduate degree at The Ohio State University (Go Buckeyes!) After college, I moved to Chicago where I have been living the past five years. I attended the Loyola University of Chicago where I completed a Masters of Education in Elementary Education.
After graduate school, I worked for Chicago Public Schools teaching kindergarten at The Walt Disney Magnet School. This is my fourth year teaching kindergarten and I am very excited to be working at the incredible Ivy Hill Elementary School in Arlington Heights. I feel very fortunate to be working among such a talented group of staff and students, and I am thrilled to be apart of the Ivy Hill Team!
While in my Kindergarten class this school year we are going to learn, grow, and have a lot of fun together! I love reading books to the class but soon you will be reading to me too! We also will dive into math, science, social studies, and so many other exciting subjects in Kindergarten together. I can’t wait to learn which subject is your favorite! I love singing and dancing at school too, did I mention we have a puppet show in our classroom? J
In my free time I enjoy cooking, traveling, and spending time with my friends and family. I recently got engaged over the summer to my very special friend Joey. We are getting married next July! Outside of school, you might see me drinking coffee at starbucks or teacher shopping at Target. I also love relaxing with my two Persian cats, Henry and Sophie, and my dog Charlie who mean the world to me!
